SLOWLY CHANGING COURSE

What kind of housing is suitable for a family that is sometimes six people and sometimes three people? Is it necessary to have a stove? How could future dwellings become?

The exhibition Slowly Changing Course featured work of four interdisciplinary groups that together worked on research and design proposals for more environmentally friendly, socially conscious, cost-effective, and progressive housing options in Icelandic urban areas. The groups enjoyed the support of project managers and consultants in various fields during a period of four months.

In the exhibition, emphasis was placed on communicating the essence of each proposal in a clear way, creating a spatial experience by emphasizing the interaction with the spatial characteristics of Hafnarhú-court and shaping the exhibition space so that it could be a framework for different events during the exhibition.
